Switching from Tier 4 to Tier 1

Hi,

I am currently in the UK on Student Visa(tier 4) and looking to switch to Tier 1. I have a business and clients in place. I do have access to 200,000 from a third party in UK. So in this case can I use that or do I need 50,000 from a seed funding competition endorsed by UKTI?

You can use your 200000 from third party, however you need to follow the procedure setup provided in the policy guidance.
I would advise you to download and print policy guidance and read them thoroughly 4-5 times to give yourself good understanding of the procedures to follow while using third party funds.
Note it is very tricky procedure but easy if you can understand the policy guidance.

I followed it myself and applied without any solictor and got my visa after the interview.

But it says that 200,000 funding is not applicable for in country funding. You have to go outside UK and apply from outside with 200,000 funding. So i'm very confused whether I can do it from UK or no

U can only apply through venture capital firms 50k inside the uk, u can apply on 200000 pound from outside the uk thanks
