Legal Status after retaining rights of residence ROR

Post by Kaii » Sun Dec 07, 2014 9:26 pm

Help Please,
I need to know my legal status after i retained the rights of residence. I have been married for over three years and got divorced and obtained the residence card on the basis of ROR which is valid for 5 years. Can somebody please tell me that after i got the residence card, am i able to get married to someone from a non eu country and sponsor them and bring them to UK with me, if yes then on what basis shall i apply for her, i mean under which visa category and what would be the requirements.
thank you very much in advance, your precious advice will be much appreciated.

You cannot qualify at present until you have acquired the right of Permanent under Regulation 15(1)(f).

A bit odd, but that is the nature of the rules unfortunately.

hi, kaii, first of all congratulations for your ROR,
could please let me know what documents did you attach with ROR application and on what basis did you apply for ROR for example marriage termination etc.

Thanks.
