EXTENDING SPOUSE VISA. FLR(M) NEED HELP PLEASE !!

Hello everyone,

My wife applied for spouse visa to a naturalised British Citizen outside UK in Dec. 2011 and was granted 2.5 yr in Oct 2012 expires in Jan 2015 , We are preparing to apply late this month to extend FLR(M) to another 2.5 yr. As I have been reading through the requirements it has been brought into attention that there are different requirements depending on route (2, 5 or 10 year):

1- How to tell which route she has been granted?
2- Which rules she should follow pre Jul. 2012 or post (Applied Dec. 2011, Granted Oct. 2012)

I hope someone can help us here please.

She was correctly granted a 27-month visa. She is under the 2-year route.

If she satisfies 288, then she may apply for SET(M) from 28 days prior to her 2nd anniversary of her date of initial entry and preferably before her leave expires.

Else, she may apply for FLR(M) under the 2-year route.

Just about a month left on her visa and don't know what todo.
Which one would you apply for?

If she satisfies the requirements for SET(M) (288), then apply for SET(M).
Else, apply for FLR(M) (285) under the 2-year route.
