After tier2 extention, what happened to old biometric card

After tier2 extention, what happened to old biometric card

Hi - I need some answers please.

I've been searching my house for an hour to find my old biometric card and could not find it. I had my tier 2 extension in 2013 and I don't remember whether UKBA kept he old card or they DID return it back to me, I just cant find it anywhere???

Quite worried now as I'm applying for ILR soon, and without the old card, how do I prove from which day my 5 continuous year started? :(

They probably kept it as it would have had an expiry date on. You only need the current BRP, they have your full immigration history on their system.
