eea family permit

Hi there,

just have a concern when I shall fill in the eea family permit (VAF5) about the travel dates? Do I need to specific the exact date I wish to travel to UK and also the exact date of leaving the Uk?

Normally how long do I need to wait so that I can get an answer from the embassy. Do I necessarily need to fill the travel date & leave date?
