Email
Hi
I been to immigration office and they gave me advice to contact your
department.
I am British citizen come to Ireland 2 week ago to exercise my EU treaty
rights. On 15 Jan my family arrive to Dublin. The immigration officer issue
1 month visa on arrival.
As far as I know under the EU Treaty right in Ireland I can stay for up to
3 month without any restriction.
Then why your immigration officer on airport restricting our right from 3
month to 1 month.....???
I am trying to find out jobs, currently I am living with some body else as
I am waiting for my house to rent. I have to do a lot of documentation
before I Apply for my family EU 1 form.
And even if I apply in between 1 month then my passport will be with
immigration for 5-6 weeks and without passport I will not get a job.
So I am thinking that it is unfair with me to restrict my EU treaty rights.
So if you can please let me know if I can extend that entry from 1 month to
3 month and I am hopeful that by then I will be able to produce all the
documentation and even if not I still have a right to be in the state for 3
month anyway.
Thanks
And now received answer form them
Dear Ali,
Any endorsement in a person's passport is a matter for the immigration
officer.
It is open to your family members to attend at your local immigration
office to seek the remainder of their 90 days.
