Employee Right to Work Check

Post by Jack&Jill » Thu Jan 29, 2015 9:18 pm

Dear Experts

I'm in Tier 2 General since June 2013 and now I'm planning to change the employer. My new employer told me that he wants to check "Employee Right to Work" from home office.

As I have all my documents legal, I still don't know is the check necessary? If so how long it will take the process from home office?

Please advice.

Thanks
J&J

this is up to your prospective employer but you may point them to:

you do realise that changing jobs mean applying a new visa with the new employer (who will sponsor u).
I dont see a reason why a prospective emplyer would need to check your right to work status when he is the one who will need to sponsor u.
