As per my understanding of law after age of 21 years or end of the educational year (when they turn 21), your children are no longer considered dependants on you.
The fact that they are in full time education or supported by you is no longer relevant.

There might be certain exception to this rule, e.g. disability etc. You need to get specialist advice.

@ Mumairsharif: I dont really agree with the above statement, and I am not sure which law are u referring to you. I don't really have much experience with Ireland but more with Schengen ( in fact it doesn't really matter both apply Directive).

To the best of my knowledge children over 21 years don't automatically have the right , you as EU national must prove that they are dependant on you. To be more explicit it states " Other family members such as siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, and other relatives have the right to have their entry and residence facilitated by the host Member State if they are dependant on you or are members of your household or where serious health grounds strictly require your personal care. This could be the case as well of your non dependant parents or children of more than 21 years if they live with you".

As a result of that, each member state may ask different proofs and just bear in mind that it is not a straight forward case. I will highly recommend you to hire a solicitor if you want to win the case.

Good luck!!
