Hello all,

I have recently obtained my Tier 2 visa. I am Indian and I had applied at Paris.
I will soon start my job in UK and the relocation team of the company wants me goto UK for a day to look at some appartments that I can rent before starting the job and relocating finally.
My question is with my tier 2 can I go to UK from Paris just for a day and return on same day, and then finally move to UK after a few days?
I indeed have a valid residence permit for France, so i can re+enter France.

yes you can. At the airport border control people will ask you whether you are coming to live or visit, tell them to live. Don't say that you are coming for 1 day and go back n all.

Hi

If it is the first time you are enterin country with Tier 2 visa, then it is probably worth carrying a letter from employer regarding your relocation.
Sometimes, Immigration officers do query about such details
