HSMP qualification at the time of EC

Post by ajaysharmanyc2006 » Fri Aug 17, 2007 8:46 pm

Hi all,

I was wondering whether initial HSMP visa received from HO is enough or we need to prove it again while applying for EC?

Thanks,

Best Regards,

Ajay Sharma

Hi Ajay Sharma,

I think you need to read guidance notes. Home Office does not provide you HSMP visa.

After your succesful HSMP application to HO, you recieve HSMP acceptance letter and then you apply for your Entry Clearance(Visa) either from your home country or from UK if you are currently a Work Permit holder or a student and have completed your studies.

After two years of your stay in UK under HSMP you go through a similar process to further extend your visa for 3 years after which time you can apply for indefinite visa.

Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) . when u spend 5 continous years in employment category you get ILR . after getting ILR u dont need further extensions of visa, and after one year of getting ILR u can apply for Nationality.
