British naturalisation: English language requirement

Post by ab713 » Mon Feb 16, 2015 2:47 pm

Hello,

I wish to apply for British naturalisation.

I have my indefinite leave to remain, and I have passed life in the Uk test. I am currently in second year of my university degree course in London. I wanted to know that if a status letter from my university is enough to prove my English language skills as I still haven't received my degree or are there any more documents required for this?

Regards

I would say no. Only a degree proves that you have met the English requirement.
Do you have IELTS or something similar? Even the expired one will do as long you have used it before.

@akhurshid

Thanks for the reply. I do not have ielts as well but prior to my university degree, I have completed Btec level 3 Extended Diploma at a Uk college. Will this work as a proof?

I don't know is the simple answer.
Maybe someone else knows or you can probably call HO and ask them instead.
If I have to guess, I would say no but I honestly don't know.
