Downside of Residence Card Vignette on the Document

Post by Sunshine86 » Tue Feb 17, 2015 10:53 pm

Hi

I am looking to apply for the Residence card application via Surinder Singh route. However I need my passport back as I have to travel to my country for couple of months.

As I have read here in the previous posts that if the passport is not available then the UKBA send the residence card vignette on the document via post.

But not all EU countries accept this if I have to travel with my EU husband using this document. Is this still the case?

I am just trying to review the situation as in the negative impact of receiving this vignette on the paper rather than the passport.

Any reviews, please share.

Thanks,
