ticked tax return box

Post by alina76 » Sun Aug 19, 2007 10:33 am

Hi All,

I an in delimma because I have applied for HSMP and while going through I have realised that I might have made a mistake .

My p-60 does'nt cover the full period of my claimed past earning so I have provided bank statement and employer letter along with the pay slip and most up to date p-60 as tax document is essential. but when I was completing the form in previous earning section I have ticked in Q33 both boxes which is "original Pay slips covering period claim for" and" Tax return covering period claim for" as I was thinking if I dont tick the tax return box they will not know that I have provided my p-60 as well.

after doing that in exceptional circumstances box I have stated that my p-60 does'nt cover the full period so I am claiming exceptional circumstances.
what do you people think what it be alright or they would still take my tax return as an evidence and reject my application as pay slips and tax return does not cover the same period?

p.s I have ticked the exceptional criteria evidence anyway and stated my reason in the box provided.
has anybody came across that situation?

Thanks

I have seen both cases will work.
What is important, U need to provide more evidence if you P60 does not cover the period claim. They will knoe it anyway whetehert U submit it or not. This is the first thing hey will check when come to earning

Mandatory
-Wage Slip
-ITR to cover the whole period claimed

IF NOT (apply to your case)
tick Exceptional circumstance and provide more evidence whihc are
- Bank statement clearly show the salary flow from the company U work
- Letter from employer state salary as claimed

Hope this help

Thank you very much for your reply ,I have got ur point now.

I have provided other supporting document for previous earning after claiming exceptional circumstances my only concern was that since I have ticked the box "Tax return covering period claimed for" so they might won't consider my request for exceptional consideration and take my tax return as an evidence and obviously because tax return and pay slip does'nt cover the same period they will reject my application. Actually it came in my mind after going throuh this forum as somebody has mentioned this.
Now as u said that u have seen both cases will work and somebody else has replied to my post that he has done the same. I am confident about that.

thanx for reply .

I have seen the case people tick both boxes but indeed their ITR does cover tyhe period claim, but they provide more evidence but it is approved. So actually it does not really matter whether U tick that box or not they know it anyway that U just get ITR once in a year and very rare that It will cover the whole priod claimed. ITR is the firsat thing they will check when come to earning

But My suggestion.
DO NOT tick Tax return covering period claimed for

and in the exceptional circumctance write clearly that your P^0 does cover the period claim becuase the tax have not finich yet and provide more evidence.

Fingers cross

As I said before I have read this case previuosly and the person get approved. Try to use search engine. My fully believe U do not need to worry whether U tick the box or not, it is not really matter. People will not be rejected based on this.

But of course IF more people ould tell their experience it will be better.
