Dependent Visa Query

All,

I am an ILR (PR) Holder in UK. I would need advise on what category my wife should apply her Visa from India. I have checked extensively but is very unclear as there is no category called as "Dependent of ILR(PR)". I am not sure if below category available on VFS Website is OK.

Reason for Visit: Settlement
Visa Type: Settlement
Visa Sub Type : Wife.

If you are on ILR your spouse must apply in the same category as the previous points system you were.
Ex: If one was on Tier2-ICT and got his/her ILR, then the spouse still applies in Tier2-ICT PBS dependent.
Once naturalised, spouse applies as settlement dependent.

Please can some others who went through this process also comment ? I am not 100% sure of this but this is what I had done.

@sk1984 - has your wife been in the UK before as a dependent on your previous visa or are you newly married and this is the first time she will be joining you?

Through what route have you obtained ILR?

@prjose : This is what I was looking for.

@CR001 : I am newly married. My ILR is based on Tier 2 ICT Long term. Through VFS India Visa checker I have reached below link for appropriate visa category. Hope this is the right one.

Any comments on this would be highly appreciated as UK BA guidelines are not very clear , at least for a novice like me

Then you need to apply for a spouse visa not a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa as she has not been in the UK in that category as your dependent.

This selection is therefore correct :

Reason for Visit: Settlement
Visa Type: Settlement
Visa Sub Type : Wife

She needs to meet English Level A1 test for this visa and you need to meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa etc.
