Do they contact your referees?

Post by MrBrilliant » Sun Mar 08, 2015 11:48 pm

I've sent my application out last week and I'm just curious to know how often the home office actually contacts your referees? Should I tell my referees to expect a phone call?

Uptill my application which was last year end, contacting refrees is extremely rare. They almost never did unless they have a reason to suspect.
In my application I had even done some corrections with refree initialling it. Even then they did not bother.
Once naturalised as Brtish Citizen, some day sooner or later you have to get your B-passport. That is kind-of IMHO inevitable. So there is nothing to worry.

Ok, thanks guys.

The other thing I was concerned about was that my referees signed the form 5-6 months ago, would that be a problem?

I would keep it within 1 month to avoid any complications.

6 months dating back from when you send the form or from when they look at it? Do you have a reference for this information?
