Problem with new passport?

Post by square189 » Wed Mar 11, 2015 11:05 pm

Hello,

I am on Tier2 visa, and I should I should extend my Tier2 visa in a few months. I have just got a new passport, now the issue is that my surname (in English) is written as 'Abdelhafez'. In my old passport (which I used to apply for the Tier2 visa) and on my Tier2 visa it is written as 'Abd El Hafez'. So, in my new passport my surname has no spaces. Is this an issue? Should I do anything about it before applying for my visa extension? I have contacted my embassy to change it, and they said it wouldn't be possible to change 'Abdelhafez' to 'Abd El Hafez' because they don't write it here, they write it back home. Please help, and let me know if this is an issue, and how can I resolve it. Thank you.
