Post by rajvet » Thu Mar 12, 2015 12:05 pm

Hi All
Just need to ask that I am on ILR and my daughter is UK born but living in Pakistan as she is entitled to have registered , I want to take her here in UK to apply for naturalization , is it ok to apply for a visit visa for her and my wife or is there any other option as well , can i apply for her naturalization from Pakistan as well ???

apply for a visit visa for her and my wife
What evidence will you/they provide that they will leave the UK before their visitor visa expires. High chance of refusal.
can i apply for her naturalization from Pakistan as well ???
No, but you can apply from the UK for your child on MN1. You apply to register your child if under 18 years. Naturalisation is for adults.

See 'Children' section in the link below

Yes, it should not be a problem as her application is one of entitlement.

Is your spouse not able to courier the passport to you if it is needed?

You could apply for a Certificate of Entitlement in Pakistan once she is British and then apply for a passport once she is here. Not sure if you could courier the new passport to her.

I am not sure but I have heard that sending passport by courier or carry any others passport while traveling abroad is illegal.

So register the child and then apply for a Certificate of Entitlement. Once she is in the UK, then apply for her passport.

You can register her on MN1 without her passport, per the link I have already provided.

I am actually not sure now with the new biometric requirement. You should have applied mid March.

They need to register Biometric in Pakistan, most probably in nearest consulate, just like before with an appointment etc. Please click here to read more.
