Misspelt name in Home Office confirmation letter

Post by anniecc » Fri Mar 20, 2015 5:07 pm

I have ILR and I've had to apply for a new BRP after my existing one was stolen. In the letter from the Home office confirming receipt of my application they've misspelt my name. I've also received an email confirmation where my name is spelled correctly. What should I do? Obviously I dont want the BRP to be issued in the wrong name but there seems to be no way of contacting them.

Also, the email suggested the application could take up to six months to process. Is this likely? It's a simple like for like replacement of a BRP. I need to travel overseas in May for an important family occasion.
