Is my degree equivalent to UK bachelor?

Hi,

I've bachelor and master degrees in computer science from Al-khair university. both of 2,2 years and total education of 16 years.

My education has been considered as uk bachelor degree.

so I don't think your degree will be considered equal to UK bachelor degree.

The time when i did the BCS, the only 2 year program was offered by all
most all of the universities of pakistan.

Is there are any solution to overcome this issue?

Looking just itoi the year spend on sutdy. It is highly unlikely that your degree is comparable UK BSc degree. FYI people have reported in this orum that Master's degree from Pakistan is comparable to Uk bachelors.

But to make it sure. Ask NARIC to assese your degree.

Your BCS degree is not equvillant to UK Becholer.
If you do masters then you could claim points for UK becholer degree.

Agree with all above, You would need to do Masters to qualify for Bachelors in UK. Because in UK degree is 3 Years Minimum.

I don't think you can because they have already eliminated work experience points and they don't consider any level of experience equivalent to degree.

Bro I think you don't have any other option instead of getting a master degree. I don't want to discourage you but it is good to know and realize the facts ASAP.

My Dear Pakistani Freinds,

My Scenario is like this:

a) Bechelor Of IT from Australia (3 Years)
b) MS(IT) from Hamdard University, Karachi (2 Years)

I am Damn sure that my Bachelors Degree is = to UK Bachelors Degree. But I wasnt sure whether my Masters from Pakistan (i.e. Hamdard University, Karachi) is = to UK Masters.

So I applied from NARIC Evalatuion for Comparison specifically from HSMP. I can tell u that online TRACKING SYSTEM at NARIC website reveals that my comparison has been done and results has been mailed to me.

But I have not recieved it yet. Once I get the result I shall update it for all ur reference.

Looking at my scenario. Can u guys be kind enough to predict the outcome. I myself think that Brits are not too keen as far as Pakistani Degrees are concerned.

Dear JD,

The best and the fastest way to get NARIC COMPARISON done is:

a) Register & Pay online (Cheapest (GBP 34) & Fastest))
Status: Payment Recieved Waiting for Documents

b) Now Fax them your Degree Certificate & Transcript immediately after
(Mention your Refference Number)
Status: Payment and Documents recived and pending with Information Officer for Comparison.

c) Wait For status to change to Comparison

Well as far as time frame is concerned; I registered and payed online on 13 Aug, 07. My online status showed COMPARISON DONE on 23 Aug 07 so 10 Days Approx. But I am still waiting for Postal main to arrive so that I can figure our my outcome.
