Hsmp approved .......EC question

I just got my HSMP application approved.Seems simplier than what I think!!!.
Submitted my 12 months payslips,ITR covering 7months then requested for exceptional consideration then 12 months bank statement.
Original degree certificate and letter from school stating that my degree was taught in English.

Presently I'm on the process of applying for EC for me and my spouse.
from the rules you are supposed to apply for EC after 6 months can one for 5 months then apply for an EC post dated to another 5 months period making it 10 months after initial HSMP approval?

Also is Court wedding certificate enough proof of marriage?
