T2 dep, Main app ILR 10 year LR

Post by justdopposite » Tue Apr 07, 2015 10:37 am

Hi

If a T2 visa holder gets ILR via 10year stay, does the dependant still need to start new 5 year qualifying period for ILR, even if the dependant had stayed in UK on T2 dependant visa for over 5years ? I suppose the answer is yes, but please could you confirm. Thanks.

The answer is yes, dependant should switvh to Flr(M) and start a new 5 year qualifying period for ILR.

NHS surcharge of £200 per dependant per year will be payable.

It would be much easier and cheaper to apply for ILR for you and dependants based on your Tier 2.
