or is it solely the responsibility of the sponsor?

How much savings do you have and is it accessible?

Has it been held for at least six months in either the sponsor, applicants or joint account?

The financial requirements have to be met, it is more than just adequate maintenance.

The sponsor may be exempt from the Financial Requirement? If for example s(he) is receiving a qualifying benefit.

Yes i receive PIP payment therefore not requiring to meet the financial requirement.

I was wondering if the applicants savings can be used in topping up any shortfall in meeting the adequate maintenance?

Yes its been held for over 6months.
