Urgent help pls

My tier 1 entrepreneur appeal pending in court of appeal i got job offer from tier 2 sponsor ready to issue cos but my problem is my passport expired last year with home office .my sponsor not able to assign cos .
How my sponsor can assign me cos ?

They can enter your expired passport details in the cos and in the additional notes section explain that the passport expired whilst being held with UKVI for Tier 1 processing.

i have the same situation. On appeal right now and i know an employer who's willing to sponsor me but my passport is expired. any successful story that managed to apply visa by entering expired passport details on COS? Please help....
