travelling alone to Schengen with EEA residence card

Post by askmeplz82 » Sat May 09, 2015 8:11 am

If you are travelling alone to Schengen country . You can enter Schengen territory via Czech republic if you don't have time for Schengen VISA

The visa free rule applies even if travelling to the Czech Republic without the attendance of an EU citizen. No question just 30 seconds and i'm out

Are you asking or telling  . The visa rule for all schengen countries are same and non-eu family members are only exempted from visa if fly together with EU national. If someone ever by luck not being asked by airline/airport staff when fly alone then it does not mean it become a general rule for all others as because untrained/careless/lazy staff exist in every workplace including the applicant's beloved authority "the ukba".

i think you did not read carefully the link you given. you may travel along with residence permit but only if fly directly to czech republic but certainly not to or from other eu countries. I am copying pasting the exact quote from same link:

"The visa free rule applies even if travelling to the Czech Republic without the attendance of an EU citizen. Furthermore, this only applies when travelling directly to the Czech Republic. If you travel to the Czech Republic via another EU member state please double check with that respektive state´s Embassy in London whether the visa free regime applies to you also in that country".

It was my understanding that one can travel visa free in EU if in possession of EU FAM (EEA RC) card. I will be gladly stand corrected if wrong on this one

Don't afraid because you are free from EU partner and immigration, simply tell them true because its part of life as well.
