ILR for Tier 2 (G) Dependents

Post by sunny007 » Wed May 13, 2015 9:07 pm

Hello,

I've query just to check on safe side, I'll complete my 5 year on tier 2 General on october 2018 for ILR, while at the same time my dependent have completed there 3.5 year with me in UK, my question is
1. when i get my ILR which visa my dependent need to apply?

2. and also please confirm me that there 3.5 years will be counted towards ILR or there clock will reset to Zero?

3. if i apply 1 year visa after 5 year , then my dependent spend 4.5 years again less than 5 years, so whats the best possibility in this case please?

any response will be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

What is the visa issue/start date of dependents visa?

What date did they enter the UK?

Thanks CR001 for your quick response,

I'll apply for their visa at the end of this month and hope fully they will get their visa within 15 days,so there visa expiry date will be mine visa xpiry ( november 2016 )

My visa issue dates are
October 2013 to november 2016 ( 3 years and 1 month)
next extention
November 2016 to november 2018 ( 2 years )

due to some family issues my dependents will join me for 3 months and then they need to leave uk for 6 months and again they will join me in march 2016,

so if there clock reset to zero after 3.5 or 4.5 years, so then i'll apply for there visit visa ( just to save money, like NHS fees and dependent fees is 565 pound per person while visit fees is less than 100 pound) ,

PLease suggest

I asked for this information for your dependents.

If your dependents received their visas after July 2012, they will need 5 years residence to qualify for ILR.

Hi CR001

Thank you very much for your reply, Assuming my dependent will get thier visa in JUNE 2015?
but my main question is that if after 5 years i'll apply for my ILR ( tier 2 general - 5 year route ) and at that time my family has been spent 3.5 years in UK with me than after my ILR what visa should they apply and their visa clock will reset to zero?

and if i go for my maximum ( tier2 general - 6 year ) then my family has been spent 4.5 years in uk with me again less then 5 years for their ILR, so in your Opinion whats the best way that their previouse time should be counted because if 4.5 years then its almost near to their ILR?

They need 5 years residence to qualify for ILR. 4.5 years will NOT be sufficient if they received their visas AFTER July 2012.

Your question is not relevant to this Topic/Thread in the Tier 2 forum at all. Please don't hijack other threads.

You can travel if it is valid.
