Islamabad Visa centre appointment availability

Hey All,
I am having to comply to a strict schedule, due to the fact that my wife has to travel 840KM to the visa centre in Islamabad to apply.

All journey is by car, takes at least 2 days due to bad terrain. unfortunate things do happen like car breakdown, border crossing closes etc.

I am wondering for those who have already done a booking via visa4UK. how flexible is that appointments availability in Islamabad? What shall I do in case she misses the appointment.

hopefully my plan will work smoothly, just thinking about worst case scenarios and what is the advice I should follow?
