Stay information - Urgent

I am planning to apply for EC tomorrow...there is a column to mention where do you intend to stay in UK? I am planning to travel there by january and I am putting the date as 5-jan-2008. Can I leave that column which asks by stay information blank as I have not planned for it yet and I do not know any one in UK? Pl advice me as it is urgent. Thanks

You are supposed to provide the information of your stay. In case, if your are staying with one of your freind in UK, then you have to produce a letter and supporting documents from your freind(check many threads specifying req. docs). Otherwise you have to make reservation in Hotel and supply proof of your reservation along with.

thanks for your reply. One of my friend told me that it is not mandatory to put the address as I am planning to go after 3 months...I am not sure if I need to put the address or not. Did any one got EC (from India) without putting the stay address. pl let me know thanks.
