when T1 200k visa starts counting

dear All.
can you please tell me once someone gets his/her visa of (3 years 4 month) when does the time of the visa starts counting? is it when you enter the country or when the visa is issued? or any other date?
please help.

Anyone knows? Please share your experience as I need to plan the dates of arrival in UK.
