TIER 2 GENERAL VISA FOR 9 MONTHS BABY

Dear all,
Thank you everyone for your valuable input. with the help of this board i was able to find solutions for all problems except this. i am sorry if it is a repetition and hope some one would point me right direction.

Our baby boy was born july,2014 and went to india along with mum on october 2014, i know i have to apply visa for him while coming back from india which i did. now he is with me, also i am on Tier 2 General Visa. i found new sponsor and job also changed my visa from old sponsor to new sponsor via premium service on 01/06/2015. everything went fine and i have got positive decision as well.

i know i can and want to apply my wife visa via postal service, no problem there as well.

QUESTION:
since my kid had already visa stamped while coming back from India, do i have to get him new visa along with mum ?
or can he stay here with out visa ? ( i know if he leave country he had to apply from outside)
my kid born in UK only.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When will his leave expire?
When are you applying for ILR?
Any further travel plans?

My ILR is due on 2018 his leave expires on 2017.
We have travel plan in next April i.e 2016.

I think that they may travel on their current PBS dependant leave.

I think that they may extend before their leave expires.
