The Home Office has confirmed that the monthly allocation of so-called "Tier 2" visas has been filled for June.

There were 1,650 allocations for June, but the Home Office will not confirm how many applications it received.

Seems like the Tier 2 ICT visa no longer leading to citizenship has caused a rush in the dependants they bring finding a job and getting that company to sponsor them for a Tier 2 General restriced Cos, so the Tier 2 ICT holder can become their dependant.

UK's response is to state their intention to raise level of those who can have a Tier 2 visa and are looking at stopping their dependants from working.

Each time a loophole is found, the UK closes it so that it's worse than before people found the loophole.

Hi PetalTop,
Your last comments ideally should be in MAC work restriction threads for Tier 2 General dependent for best use for the impacted readers. However I disagree the view that this is something new when I found out the work restriction idea was mooted for dependents even in 2010 as per the below link .http://www.permitsfoundation.com/news/u ... ?type=news

Read the permit foundation response to Migration Advice Committee.

Hi - I had a score of 70, not sure of the exact date that my company submitted the application for RCoS. Heard about it on 12th June mid day IST

Still waiting for a reply? Has everyone else received a response? By when should we expect a response? Appreciate input.

Well I'm shocked. Normally it's undersubsribled and minimum score remains at 32...
Anyone know if there're any underlying reason?

The annual quota for restricted Tier 2 (General) Certificates of Sponsorship is set at 20,700. These RCoS are made available over the course of the year on a monthly basis. In each calendar month one twelfth of the total annual quota can be approved by the UKVI panel. When the monthly quota is not reached the unallocated RCoS roll-over to the next month's allocation thereby increasing the pool of available certificates.

Priority is first given to roles which fall within the shortage occupation list followed by PhD level positions. Priority is then given to RCoS applicants based on salary, with the roles attracting the highest salaries being approved first. In the month of June the quota was reached for roles that attract salaries of £46k per annum or more (this figure is unconfirmed and based on anecdotal evidence from UKVI). Consequently, RCoS have been refused for any roles that attract a salary of less than this amount.

My bf is laywer , as he explained , for example there were 2394 applications and 394 from them with 32 points others more. And quota was for 1800 for example . If they couldn't acept all applications with same score, they all gonna be rejected .
Hope that could help

it means there are more than 394+100=494 people who earn the salary between £32,000 - £45,999.99

Does anybody have a clue if the balance of certificates carried over to the next month improves the chances of the resubmitted applications getting approved?

This article gives a very clear explanation. It is very likely that I will never be granted a R COS with my salary.
This is really heartbreaking!! So unfair for young people having lower pay in those graduate roles.
I thought UK wanted talented young people, but they are not providing any chances for them.

hi shannon5g, i think if this rolling over of certificates from previous months continues, in the next few months more applicants might be granted like in February 2015 (2,454 applicants). I am not sure though but maybe our chance might increase after several months.

Thanks for your comfort. But at the same time the uk govt is going to rise the salary threshold in Autumn and then change the rule completely next year. My chance to get a CoS would be very low with only 33 points. D:
Am thinking of finding another job in my hometown now...
