SALARY SLIPS- SHOULD WE MWNTION

Post by PGG » Wed Sep 12, 2007 1:06 pm

DEAR SENIOR MEMBERS,

I am enclosing my 12 months salary slips which I have recieved over the mail, I have taken a print out of these on my compan's letter head & have got these signed by the HR manager of the Company along with the official stam of the company, authorised signatory & HR manager.

My question is that should I mention on my covering note of previous earnings that these are e salary slips or should i just mention Salary slips, with out any explaination.

Thanks :(

I also did the same without mentioning in the cover letter and it worked. I think what they need is that it should be on companys letter head.

Query Pls help

Post by hmittal » Sun Sep 16, 2007 12:24 am

Hi All

Can you help me with the basic Query regarding gross salary.
1)The gross salary considered is before tax. right?
2) There is deduction from my employer like
a) Income Tax
b) Provident Fund
c) Professional Tax
d) Welfare fund tax.
Should I deduct all 4(a,b,c,d) to calculate points
e.g
Gross is 1000
a)200
b)100
c)100
d)50

should I consider 1000 or 550 or 800 to calculate points
Please help.
Regards
HM

One more Query and thanks

Post by hmittal » Sun Sep 16, 2007 11:02 pm

Hi All

Thanks for helping me out.Regarding salary Question.
My query is regarding switch of company. I left one company to joi another, so there was additional
1) PF money
2) Variable pay money

which was paid to be by my previous employer, credited to my salary account. Though it does have a mention in Form 16, but I dont have salary slip for that.

Can I include that in my gross earnings to calculate points

Regards
Hemendra

I dont think you can include these things in your gross earnings because they would not be featuring on your salary slips as an allowance, also these are anyways counted since we are showing gross earnings from which the PF is then deducted.
