Income Tax Returns - Form 16

Hi guys,

I saw in the HSMP guidelines that we will have to submit IT returns for claiming points under the income section.

But i heard that the IT returns will only show the taxavle portion of the income and not the non taxable portion of the income.
In this case how will our gross salary be verified thru the IT returns.

Any info on this is appreciated.

HO people only consider IT returns as earnings proof though its not covers full period (Form16 was not in the guidelines).

So for the gross salary proof u need to submit ...

payslips
bank statements
letter from employer certifying the gross salary for claimed period.

So try to submit these evidences and explain in cover letter why u r submitting exceptional evidences.

This is regarding pay slips.
My employer has a policy of not signing the pay slips.Whats the alternative for that.
So can I try and get the salary slips printed on company head paper.
Will that work, Please help?
