RC - new to inform if change of job, or baby ?

Post by toto91 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 2:45 pm

hi

my wife applied for a residence card.
she's not EEA national, i'm eea national.

i work for company A who is now changing name to company B and i'm getting a new contract to reflect the change of name.
also my wife is pregnant and waiting for a baby.

In a letter, when applying i told home office that
- wife is waiting a baby
- i will get a new contract soon with only the name change, nothing else should change
i send all formal application about few agos

=> now, do i need to send the new contract ?
=> once the baby is born, does she need to inform them ? and then and provide a birth certificate or anything
=> if i change a job, do i need to inform home office ?

to me all the data need to be accurate when we apply, but not sure about what we have to inform if our condition or anything change.
after all, if they check for a job, with our NI they can see we have changed job or legal entity or anything since all is computerised

Thanks for your help and advices
regards

hi

what about if i didn't change job but my company has issued a new contract (with the new company name)
i told them that this will happen soon in a letter. is that enough ? or i need to send my contract?

and what about the birth of a baby ?
i told them it will happen, is that enough ? or do i need to send a birth certificate ?

Is it all about informing them or is it about giving a proof of the change with exact dates?

regards

Tell them when her CERTIFICATE OF APPLICATION ISSUED with the reference in that certificate. As your file/case is not assigh to any case worker yet.
Telling them about the baby is irrelevant as your own job is very important.
Very importantly as soon as she get her RC and she's unable to work she just need to have CSI to cover the gap and the samething applicable to you as well if your contract stop.

hi

do you receive the COA after the biometrics are taken ?
i'm wondering if royal mail lost my COA letter as i didn't receive it since nearly a month, if it wasn't send to me, but the biometrics were taken so i have a reference number.

i might give them one more week before trying to reach them, maybe they are late with holidays

should i contact them with my new contract and send them wit hthe biometric reference numbers ?

regards

Hi Toto91,

You may give them 2 weeks after your biometric received and if it doesn't arrive then call the EEA department that you intend to send new employment contract paper work.Like i said for mother who just give birth and to be on a safer side try and get health insurance (any premium is fine even 10 pond per month) to cover the gap till she get back to work very essential.

Also, make sure you keep any of your attempt to attend interview, job search paper work and last make sure you do visit this site to look an update on EEA applications.

Once again good luck and safe child delivery.

hi,

Have you got your COA yet? and if yes send it there am sure that will come from Liverpool and use the case reference number at the top right hand side of the letter they file it with rest of your document.

Good luck

Be careful returning letter sometime goes to different place or departments. Did you not see Liverpool address just on top of you case number and not the address at the back of the envelope came with your COA.

THANK YOU very much Wise !!!

it was my mistake as i didn't pay enough attention.
Yes there's a liverpool address on COA, and Yes the address is different compared to the enveloppe.
it's the department of "permanent migration".

i don't know how i missed that, thank you very much Wise
