split Gap in 10 year ILR

Post by UKkumar » Thu Jul 02, 2015 12:23 pm

Hi Friends

I have continuous gap of 367 days after my first entry to UK.
I came in 15/01/2006 and went out in 01/09/2006 for 367 days and come back 05/09/2007.

So is it possible to split that gap of 367 days and start 10 years from 09/03/2007 instead of 05/09/2007. In this way I can get 6 months towards 10 year other wise i will loose all time i spent between 15/01/2006 to 05/09/2007.

Hi Gurus and expert your advice is really appreciate.

Thanks

For 10 years ILR, it is counted from the date of entry and absences of more than 180 days breaks continuous residence. You also need to have absences not exceeding 540 days in the whole 10 years period.

Thanks CR001,

So it means i have to start counting 10 years from my second entry in UK (05/09/2007).

A part from 367days gap. I have spent about 230 days tier2 visa.
So annual leave of 230 days under tier2 does count towards 540 days limit in 10 years.

cheers

You have multiple user names (kpatel, UKQUEEN and UKkumar).

Please decide which one you want to use/keep as multiple user IDs are not permitted on the forum. Please see Muliple Member IDs (Click)

ALL absences count for 10 years ILR.
