Am I allowed to buy shares of a company (Not my sponsor) in the UK?

Please note that my desire to buy a company is not connected to my present activity and will not affect my ability to work for my current sponsor.

I consider it as a possible investment - to buy a company (shares on stock market) in order to receive interests/dividends (and at the same time continuing to work for the current employer).

I have gone through the Tier 2 Visa guidance and I couldn't find any information regarding this. The guidance only says you cannot hold more than 10% of shares of your sponsor

Will I breach HomeOffice rules, if I buy some shares of a company(Not my sponsor) being in the UK on Tier 2 General visa?

That should be fine. It's normal equity trading.
