Tier 2 General Visa - Freelancing in India

Post by ukgendep » Mon Jul 20, 2015 11:31 am

Hi all,

I am currently on Tier 2 General Visa. I have been offered couple of freelancing opportunities from India and was keen on taking them only if it adheres to the rules.

I know its not allowed to be self employed under Tier 2 visa, but was wondering is it allowed that take up a freelancing project and get the money paid in my Indian account ?

Regards,

The basic rule in tax legislation is the tax is due in the place where the work is done.
