Saturday Appointment at PEO Croydon

Post by tiransg » Mon Jul 20, 2015 4:17 pm

Hi, I am currently on Tier1 (General) visa and will be completing 5 years continuous stay (less 28 days) in the UK shortly. I am planning to apply for ILR on SET(O) form with my two dependents.

I have booked an early morning appointment at PEO Croydon in mid August. Mine isnt a complicated case. In full time employment in the last 5 years with 2 employers. Only 22 days of absence from UK for the whole period.

I was wondering if a weekday appointment is better after reading some of the views mentioned here. In that case, i will have to soon reschedule mine. What do you think maybe given your person experience ?

It makes no difference, the same process will take place on a Saturday as on a weekday.

Thanks CR001. I was thinking is there a slight risk on Saturdays of being deferred due to less staff, IT issues and further checks...but mine isnt self employment, so wouldnt expect major HMRC checks...I will probabaly stick to the Saturday one then.

You should not worry, they work Saturdays like a normal day. They are linked to other gov dept computers systems.

Also, bear in mind that system issues happen in the week too and sometimes peoples applying in the week also have their applications deferred.
