Is SMP considered as access to public funds?

Hello All,

I was on maternity leave from July 2013 to April 2014. I was working as a day rate contractor from May 2011 to July 2013. I was a Director of a company and withdrew SMP during the maternity break.

Questions - 1) Is SMP from your own company account considered as access to public funds?
2) What documents do I need to show that it was from my company account and so am eligible for ILR.
