1.) Not sure what you mean by 'short listed.'

2.) You can apply in country. Switching from a Tier 1 to T2G does not exempt you from the RLMT, only getting a job on the shortage occupation list will do so. You need to find a sponsor (employer) willing to and able to sponsor your visa.

3.) There is a minimum salary requirement of £20,800 or the salary as described in the code for the job, whichever is HIGHER. You might be subject to the experienced worker salary (which is generally a higher salary requirement) if you are above the age of 26. There is also a skills requirement that the job should require 'degree level' work, eg a professional-type job (so-called NQF 6).

Hi Physicskate
thanks for your reply, (yes I meant job on shortage occupation list)
1-Can you also advise further...and If I complete my 10 year after my tier 2 on salary less than 35k...will it be safe to apply for ILR..
2-Is there is potential trigger for 10 years ILR almost after five years.
3- Is it good idea to change from Tier 1 to tiet 2 ( salary less than 35k).
Your guidance will be appriciated .
thanks
regards
Danik

I cannot advise you, ie tell you which path to take, but I can only give my opinions and relate facts.

1.) If you complete 10 years, your salary is irrelevant. Ensure that all tax is up-to-date, however.
2.) Would need to know your full immigration history... if you complete 10 lawful years and obey the other rules for 10 year ILR, you can apply...??
3.) I don't know! Only you can know!

Thanks Physicskate
Appriciated for all ur guidance.
Actually I have studies 1.5 year, 6 month waited for psw visa and 2 year psw+ and one year tier 1. So almost its 5 year...I am getting an offer for Job (about £21k per year). They can sponsor for 5 year tier 2.
But I was concerned if any rule going to be changed for 10 year residency application within next 5 years.
regards
Danik

No one can predict the future.

Be aware that you might be subject to the experienced worker rate if you are over 26 years old.
