Tier 2 General queries

Hi,

My brother is working as a Power plant maintenance engineer and his job is in SOC list.

Does somebody needs to sponsor his visa ?

I heard that jobs in SOC list does not need to have a sponsor.

Please clarify my queries.

Anyone wanting to apply for a Tier 2 General visa need a sponsor on the approved list [url=see here (click)[/url].

The visa that did not require a sponsor was Tier 1 General but that route is closed now.

Most of things we hear aren't necessarily true.
To come to UK as a Tier 2 migrant, one must be sponsored by a licensed sponsor.
