Post by usmanakram_86 » Thu Jul 23, 2015 3:52 pm

Hi Dear Friends,

Currently im on Tier 2 (General) vias and my Wife as my Dependent.

I wish to apply for extention visa, I have Same Job (as before) and I found that I can Apply Online.

When I go for online application "visas-immigration.service.gov.uk" it display "BETA This is a trial service" Is it alright If I use this as it put me in doubt by saying it is Trial Service.

If I want to Apply as normal Application i.e (Not Priority or Premium service) as my Individual visa fee will be £428 (plus my wife £428) and £600 for each.

for my Extension Visa Can I use this Online service, Fill the form online and download the PDF and then sign the downloaded form attach documents and send to the Address.

Is that alright?

Please help me Thanks.

IHS £900 but Applying for 3 years Only

Post by usmanakram_86 » Tue Sep 01, 2015 7:48 pm

Hi,

I'm applying online to Extend my Tier 2 (General) Visa due in 14 Jan 2016 for 3 years or Less.

My Employer gave me Sponsorship Certificate as
Start Date: 01-Sep-2015
End Date: 31-Dec-2019

Which are 4 Years, 3 Months and 30 Days

and now IHS calculated it as £900

My Question is, Will I get Visa with 4 years or only 3 Years ?

Thanks.

Hi, I am on tier 2 General Visa for same employer from last three years.

And now im extending my visa with same employer.

Should I ask my Employer to change the COS dates to make it exact 3 years?

Thanks.

If you are already on a tier 2 since three years, you will not get any extension for more then 2 years as you will be eligible for ILR after 5 years. If for any reason you are not eligible for ILR, the maximum extension you can get is 3 years. You cannot be in UK on tier 2 for more then 6 years. After 6 years you will have to leave UK and wait for 12 months before you can re apply a new tier 2 visa.

Hi,

Sorry It was 2 years and 6 Months I'm on Tier 2 General Visa

I'm requesting my Employer to change the Dates so it will be exact 3 years on Sponsorship Certificate
i.e.
Start Date: 01-Sep-2015
End Date: 01-Sep-2018

so it is Complete 3 Years

and after this my Complete Duration will be as Below
2 years 6 Months + 3 years = 5 years 6 Months

So after 5 years I'll be eligible to Apply for ILR? AM I RIGHT?

as I'm Applying 3 Months early so does my Duration will also deducted 3 months?

My Visa Expiring on 14-Jan-2016 but I'm applying in Sep-2015 about 3 Months Early.

Can you please Advice.

Many Thanks.

OK I'll do that.

What If I enter n/a OR Repeated her name in Given Name Text box and attache a written letter to UKBA along with my documents stated that why I enter n/a or Repeated her name in Given Name Text box.

Is that alright?

Thanks

My queries regarding Tier 2

Post by usmanakram_86 » Wed Sep 02, 2015 10:21 am

Hi,

I want to know how does visa duration counts?

e.g.

My Visa
start Date = 11-July-2013
Expiry Date = 14-Jan-2016

But I applying for Extension on 01-Sep-2015

then what will be my Last visa total Duration?

Is it calculated from Start Date of my Visa to Visa Expiry date
OR
Is it Calculated from Start Date of my Visa to the Date when I apply for my Extension Visa?

Please Help in this Regard.

Many Thanks.

In visa form, repating the name is a general practice when a person has only either surname or given name. I did that for my dependent visa and visa guidance also says that.

Hi,

I am in similar situation, where my Tier 2 General getting expired by end of Feb.

Planning to apply for Tier 2 General extension by first week of October 2015 stating,
Cos Start Date: 01 Jan 2016
Cos End Date: 01 Jan 2019.

IHS = £600.

I think, we can apply 90 days before the Start date mentioned in COS, provided should have valid leave to remain. As per my COS start date, I can apply any day after OCT 1st 2015.

From Tier 2 Policy Guidance,
192.You must apply within three months from the date your Certificate of Sponsorship was
assigned. You must also apply no more than three months before the start date on your
Certificate of Sponsorship
. If this is not possible, you should contact your sponsor.

Hi,

In my case I have completed 2.5 Years on Tier 2 general, and now getting ready to apply for tier 2 extension along with my dependant.

My current Cos is
Start date: 01-July-2013
End Date: 31-Dec-2015

But

My employer assign a New cos with 4.6 years
Start date: 01-sep-2015
End date: 31-Dec-2019

But i think it is invalid as it will counted in total as 2.5 + 4.6 = 7.1 years, and we can't get leave for more than 6 years on tier 2 general.

So, I have requested my Employer to change the dates as below

New Cos Should be:
Start Date: 01-Jan-2016
End Date: 01-Jan-2019

Which is exact 3 years, so in that way my total duration on tier 2 general will be
2.5 + 3 = 5.5 years and after 5 years I'll be eligible for ILR.

I'll Pay
- IHS £600 per Applicant
- Visa Fee £428 per Applicant

Does all above make sense? :?:

Is it the right thing I'm planning to do so? :?:

Thanks.

Just repeat her surname in the given name field. Probably don't need a letter as they will easily find out from the passport. I was in a similar situation and that's what I did. They must have seen loads of cases like this, no worries.

Hi,

My Current COS
Start Date: 01-Jul-2013
End Date: 31-Dec-2015

My New COS
Start Date: 01-Jan-2016
End Date: 01-Jan-2019

I'll apply for Tier 2 General Extension Visa on 01-Oct-2015.

My Question is, Does my new Visa will start from the Date I have applied for visa (01-Oct-2015) or it will start from the Start Date of New COS (01-Jan-2016) ?

Thanks.

Does it really matter?

You will receive a new BRP with Expiry date as : 1 Jan 2019 or 1 Feb 2019 (plus one month)
and a Issue date.
