Is "total package" taken in to account for application

Post by calizzy » Wed Sep 09, 2015 5:49 am

I have a job opportunity that comes with housing. Salary alone is 24k, but with the value of the housing and pension included it is 53k. Is that taken in to account when determining points?

I think allowances and bonuses are factored into the calculation. Not 100% on houses though.

If the amount for housing is included in the gross salary package, that's fine. The gross salary package must include permitted allowances and guaranteed bonuses. However, employer pension contributions cannot be included on the COS.

As long as it is included in the total gross salary package and the employer gives a complete breakdown.

10 When you assign a CoS to a migrant, you must give three pieces of information about
the salary package:
a) First you must give the gross salary figure which must represent the total amount paid
to the worker, gross of any tax paid (whether paid in the UK or overseas) and must
include any permitted allowances and guaranteed bonuses.
b) Second, you must give a separate figure for the total of all allowances and
guaranteed bonuses.
c) Finally, you must give a detailed breakdown of each allowance and each guaranteed
bonus showing their value.
