Documents required for Spouse Visa

Post by Bucki » Fri Sep 11, 2015 12:07 pm

I am sorry to "bug" you about this

These are the documents I have (or/and will be gathering):

1) 18 Month contract + permanent contract
> the salary is stated in the 18month contract.

2) 6 Month Payslip printed from online
> will be stamped from the HR and signed

3) 6 Month Bank Statement
> again printed from online, stamped from the local branch

4) Accomodation

> Letter from Housing Associations stating the rooms & enough room to move in
> including the Council Tax Letter < how many or just last one?
> letter from my parents and their concent

5) Proof of our relationship (we are married)
> pictures of us together being on holiday + engagement + wedding pics
> is the conversation e.g. Viber Chat or FB Chat really a requirement?
> I can provide a link to our profile where they can see all our pics etc.
> of course the Marriage Certificate (has the stamp from the council borough)
> has NO the Apostille Stamp

Things I am not sure about:

6) Do I have to send (hand in) my Passport as well?
7) My Birth Certificate where I was born ??
8) A letter from police that I am not under any suspicion??

Her doc's requirement:

1) Passport
2) two pass-size photos
3) Birth Certificate
4) Letter from Police that she is not any under suspicion??

What else ???
Am I missing any other potential documents?

As part of the Online Visa Application process;
there are 2 other Documents that I have to fill out, right?? which ones are they ?!

THANK YOU

Gosh, waiting ony 22 minutes between posting and then bumping the thread

Copy of your passport (the whole passport) is fine.

English A1 certificate?

Police letters not needed. Birth certs not needed

Is it entry clearance or FLR(M) in country application?

You have many posts, it is unreasonable to expect people to go back and read everything you have posted previously, which is why we ask members to stick to one thread rather than create multiple threads on the same topic.

Sorry, I accidentally posted a second reply and had to write something!
CR001 wrote:English A1 certificate?
Ohhh yes, thanks for remembering! She passed AS1 in March 2014 and is valid till 5th Nov 2015
Hence why I want to apply by mid of October!
CR001 wrote:Police letters not needed. Birth certs not needed
Sure? I thought they need some time of evidence showing she is not convicted!
Thought maybe, they like to see the same for me too.
CR001 wrote:Is it entry clearance or FLR(M) in country application?
Not sure if I understood it right, but it is the very 1st Spouse Visa Application,
she is married to me and want to join me in UK. She is now back home!

True, but the other threats have not much to do with this specifics.

from Kosovo.
I will be filling out the online visa application on her behalf and have it printed & ready.
Now, there are 2 other forms which I need to fill out, right?

apparently asking all sorts of things including "how much rent I pay"
but this is my worry ... as I do not have my own house/flat but live at my parents.
* there is a thread I opened today about accommodation **

Are these the 2 forms that need to be completed
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... form-vaf4a

Questions:

PART 2 >

2.2 Does ur partner own the property? NO
2.3 Does ur sponsor live in a council tax property?
well, it is a Housing Assosication! And I dont rent it!
NO would be the answer right!?

2.7 Does anybody else live in the property?
Yes, my parents and my brother.

Tho' it does not ask WHO does rent the house or who pays council tax etc. hmmm is this ok!?

PART 3 >

3.3 method meeting financ requirement?
it is 3A

3.11 What is the annual salary!?
it is £20K + Benefits / shift allowance = £24K a year
however on contract states 20k + benefits

3.21 does ur sponsour meet financial req!?
YES

but the 3.22 is confusing !!!
do I skip this or what!?

before this current job I worked for 3 month at a warehouse and then started the current job.

so what do i answer!?

Now the rest does not make sense to me .. all these questions.

You will have to use category B not A if your employer changed and provide 12 months slips/statements and the last 12 months of gross pay ( add up each month) needs to add up to over £18,600.

Alternatively you will have to wait 3 months.

You will confuse the case worker (as you did me) by mentioning 'benefits' added to your income. I assume you mean 'bonuses'?

well that is what it says in contract
20k + Benefits (yes Bonus)

that is related to shift router bonus.
so it comes to 24K a year.

I thought being at a current job for at least 6 month then the CAT A would be the right one to choose!!

I am lost now

Then you are OK. You mentioned something about a different job 3 months ago that was what confused me.

Answer to 3.22 is no if you have been with the same employer for 6 Months. And yeah category A is fine then, you only have to show 6 months bank statements and payslips.

could I start the online visa application next week and then allocate the date for beginning of october!?

reason:

my 6th payslip will be ready by end of this month!
also, so I can get the application soon as ,
due to A1Test is valid till 5th Nov!

Finally;

is there a fast track of the process!?
or can they give an answer within 2 month?

thanks

DO NOT DO THAT. I made this mistake and my application was refused because the documents need to be within 28 days of the application date. I thought this meant biometric date, but it is when you submit the online application!! If you submit early they will say you haven’t provided enough bank statements and payslips.

Learn from my mistake. Wait until 1st October, pay and do submit the online application then. Then order your latest bank statement from the bank, book an appointment later for Spouse, the statement will come by then hopefully.

I am going to do this too inshaallah. I hope your spouse gets a visa soon.

2. Test is valid as you will still apply before 5 November

3. No Fast Track option. Gerrys have a VIP thing sometimes but it is not worth it, it is just quicker to get seen in their office and doesn't affect the Visa application process. Though depends where you are applying from.

Good point actually!! Thanks :)
I rather wait till I get my payslip and apply in October.

I read it that the "documents need to be within 28 days of the application date" but which documents do they refer to ?? all of the documents ???

the country she will apply from is Kosovo, not sure if that makes a difference.
just heard people saying that they may reply within 2 months with a positive feedback.

I suppose it could be quicker you can check on UKVI website for processing times. The last bank statements, payslip and employment letter need to be within 28 days of you applying for the visa. Some also say the housing inspection report. Any letters that you put in there such as declaration of support for Spouse, try to date them within 28 days also.

This is really annoying :(

why am I being told that these docs are required for my Wife:

- birth certificate
- letter from Police stating not being convicted!

On top of that;

The APOSTILE STAMP is required to be on marriage certificate;
otherwise the UKVI will consider it as "not valid" > refuse the application.

I been digging everywhere to find a quote from H/O asking for such a stamp.
It is just  pffffffh!!

PS: I got dual citizenship and got married back home with my country document (not as British)
therefore, the local authorities do not like to provide the "apostile stamp" with the arguement :
"you are a British citizen and you should have got married with UK passport instead"

What!!!! What on earth!!
But UK clearly allows me having dual citizenship ... not sure what this would impact on the application.

Does UK Ministry of Affairs get involve with my country ministry affairs; regards to this?
example: does UK check with my country ministry IF my marriage is accepted / official etc.

Have a look through this document:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... lement.pdf

As far as I'm aware the birth certificate/letter from police is not needed. Birth certificate may be needed if your wife doesn't have an ID card in Kosovo? If she does she just needs a copy of that and passport.

You do need to get the marriage certificate and the translation stamped by the union council in Pakistan. But I think you could get it stamped and certified by a lawyer.

...

as an end result I went to my solicitor and got a "statutory declaration" signed and stamped from him, also payed another £30 to get it legalised from UK Government; got a stamp on it and it says "not to be used in UK" !

Ironically enough, my silly country is not considering this document at all!
So, my idea was to attach this with the visa application ... instead of wasting it; cost me over £100.

The statutory declaration is a summary who I am, where I live, who I got married with, when what date and where, also that I have dual citizenship and got married back home with my country Passport instead of UK.

Some say; it does not really matter with which passport you use to get married but apparently back home, if they knew that I am British; they wouldn't allow me to get married with the my country Passport / Nationality but with UK Pass only!

Is a bit messy at the moment ... just hope it will go well and UKVI not being picky on that one!

ALSO....

see the attachment, that is the letter from the housing association.
Hope this is sufficient ?!

Tho' the date on the letter concerns me a bit
cos the application will be done in October and ... might go over 28 days

I don't have time to reply to all of your questions, so I'll leave it to someone else to advise.
However, two issues:
When did your wife take her ESOL A1 Test? Was it on of before 6th April? ESOL is no longer on the approved list. If it was taken before 6th April under Transitional rules it can be used until Nov 5th 2015. See below:
"From 6th April 2015 there is a new list of approved Secure English Language Tests and Test Centres. Anyone taking a test on or after 6
th April 2015 must take one of the new listed tests at one of the approved centres if they wish to use it in a UK Immigration application.
"

This is the new approved list of tests and test providers.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... entres.pdf

Also, you make no mention of submitting her passport. Birth certificates aren't required.

You need to pay for the NHS surcharge online before submitting your visa application. You have to add the IHS number to your printed visa application.
https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... n/overview

It is also mandatory to include a letter from the Housing Association (as landlords) agreeing to you and your wife living in the property.

- Yes, she passed EASOL in 2014 and is valid till 5th Nov, and we applying now this coming few days!

- Yes, she will be handing over her Passport (forgot to mention on the list)

- Landlord letter sent can be seen here:

- showing how many people live in the house and that they have no objections to it.

Regards you stating I can do IHS now: see this
You don't need to continue. You need to pay the IHS in your visa application if you're applying from outside the UK.
Remember; I am british and my wife is back home joining me in UK, she will be applying for spouse visa and I will fill it out for her online.

You've posted in so many different threads, it's time consuming to collate all of your information! You need to pay the NHS surcharge separately to your visa application.

hence why It is so long but you do not have time to go through my questions!
You need to pay the NHS surcharge separately to your visa application.
I created an account with my wife's name + email and said NO to question
- are you applying from within UK?

so, that is why came on the end : to apply during the visa application.
