Hi Everyone,
One of my employees only provided her passport several months after joining as she had lost her passport years ago and had not applied for a new passport until recently. I did the checks at that time using her birth certificate and NI number. Would it be worthwhile sending in the passport in addition to the birth certificate, even though the passport doesn't confirm the person's nationality at the time of taking up employment?
I know that this question may seem of minor importance, but I want to avoid making any errors in my application and am therefore trying to be extra careful. Thank you for your help.
