Moldova to Ukraine

Just got back from Moldova. Walked from Moldovan to Ukranian border, legal to do so. Tried to explain to grumpy border official, the boss there, I wanted to get a Ukranian stamp in the passport (though there is no legal need,I was told by a Romanian border boss who knows his Ukr counterpart) walk a little into Ukraine then return to Moldova. Very puzzled, understandbly so, he was puzzled (spoke virtually no english). He then escorted me back to Moldova. I had no illegal possessions, wasn't searched, had cash, had a passport, no visa needed. Is there any recourse here, complaint procedure even though it is futile. Thanks in anticipation.

You have told us what you have done. But it is not clear why you did what you did.

Are you an EU citizen? If not, what is your current citizenship and residence status?

Do you wish to visit the Ukraine or move there? And crucially, why did you want a Ukraininan stamp? What benefit(s) do you derive from it?

If you can give us a better idea of why you did what you did, we can guide you better in achieving your goals.
