Tier 2 to ILR

Post by manikandanra » Wed Oct 07, 2015 10:58 am

Hi Guys

I entered the UK on 23/01/2011 and my visa status in UK is as below:

Tier 2 - ICT Established Staff - 23/01/2011 to 30/12/2012 (Main Applicant)

Tier 2 - ICT Long Term Staff - 09/06/2013 to 02/06/2015 (Main Applicant) - Came back to UK within 150 days

Tier 2 General Dependent - 03/06/2015 till date (Wife on Tier 2 General)

Please can anyone tell me if i am eligible for ILR in Jan 2016 as I am about to complete 5 years in Jan 2016?

Thanks.

Unfortunately No since your initial visa was issued after Apr-2010.

And also no because you switched to PBS Dependent status, thereby starting a new 5 year period from scratch. You cannot combine Tier 2 and Tier 2 Dependent time to make up 5 years. You need the full 5 years in one category.

Time on different visas can only be combined for ILR based on 10 years long residence.
