Yes I applid to accompany my eu spouse. It would have taken 2-3 weeks but because I was denied a visa to the UK there was a delay in my decision. It took almost 6 weeks to get a decision. I am a Liberian nationalumairks123 wrote:Sorry can I asked you did you applied for accompany eu spouse ?? And in how many weeks did you get the decision???
as four month has passed I still not got my decision
I am surprised why do they need GNIB card to apply for the pps number? what documents did you bring with you when you go there? and don't worry you have 2 months left so you can prepare for your EU1 without any issuevweeks wrote:Hello
I arrived in Ireland with my British spouse 1 month ago.
Yesterday, we went to the Social Services office in Sligo to apply for a PPS number but according to the lady we spoke to in order to receive a PPS number I would need to have a GNIB card.
We honestly have no idea what is the next step in the immigration process.
Do I need to go to the local gardai and register?
Do I need to send in the EU1 form with supporting documents even though I do not have a PPS number?
When do I apply for a PPS number?
My visa expires December 5th and we really do not want any issues and would like to have everything in order before then. We would like to leave for the UK by February
ANY help is apreciated.
This may give you some idea of steps to follow:vweeks wrote:Hello

Thank you. I have been following this for reference; however now that I am at the PPS step...I am being told that our joint tenancy agreement and passports are not sufficient.noajthan wrote:This may give you some idea of steps to follow:vweeks wrote:Hello

Yes I did. And I had my marriage certificate.kunfayakun wrote:Didn't you go with your British spouse? and show the marriage certificate?
kunfayakun wrote:They can't refuse your pps application as you brought all the required documents, and did they accept your british spouse pps application?
Oh thanks.Did you register with garda before you sent in your EU1 application?kunfayakun wrote:Oh I see But pps number is not compulsory for the EU1 application, they refused our pps application 3 times that is how they are, so you can still make your application without it..
