Tier 2(General) made redundant- New Sponsor Guidance ?

Hello Friends,

Can you please guide me, it will be of great help.
I'm in Tier 2(General) visa and I'm made redundant. I am in notice period till 31Oct15. I learned from different posts that I can stay till 60 more days after visa curtailment decision is taken, and I have to find another job and get sponsorship in that period.

My question is- Since my job role was petroleum engineer in present company, can I find sponsor and job in any other sector e.g. banking, IT etc ?
Secondly - what are the options I have to search for sponsorship companies and jobs ? Any suggestions ?

Please can you also let me know if I can change the sponsorship to only oil and gas related company or any other company ? My current sponsor is oil and gas related company.

I suppose it depends on what your job and qualifications are.

you can switch to any other soc code or jobs, provided they hire you and carry out necessary tasks like rlmt, cos etc.

The job should be genuine i.e. as long as you have the required qualifications and skills for the job they offer you, should be OK. Thanks
