Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa

Hi

I'm in UK with 1 year Tier 2 ICT visa with my family. Am I eligible to apply to extend my visa in UK itself(meaning before my VISA got expired)?
Let me know the details as much as possible please?

Depends on your employer and how long they feel they need you and the CoS they issue etc and which category of Tier 2 ICT you hold.

How long you can stay

A Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer - Long-term Staff) visa can be extended for the shortest of these options:

the time given on your certificate of sponsorship plus 14 days
the time needed to extend your stay to the maximum time allowed in the category
5 years

You can extend all other types of Tier 2 Intra-company Transfer visa if your original visa was for less than the maximum stay allowed by that type. You can only extend your visa up to the maximum time allowed.

Hi thank you so much please help me with my doubt I have ict (short term visa 1 year) I will be here for the whole year can my company extend my visa ?because I see details for it long term only ...If not possible is there any coolING period after I go back to my country kindly help me thank u---- ..honeeysha

The max stay on T2 ICT Short term visa is 12 months. You will not be able to extend the visa beyond 12 months. You will have to go back to your home country. If you company agrees, you can go back and apply for Tier 2 ICT Long term visa from your home country. There is no cool-off period applicable when moving from ICT ST to LT visa. If you have to apply for ST visa again, a cool-off of 12 months will apply.

Also to move into Tier 2 ICT Long-term visa, you would require annual salary of £40600 or more.
