The following are the documents required for a HSMP/dependant entry clearance:
1. Valid HSMP approval letter
2. Letter from UK company with details of the applicant's job, salary and employment (if any)
3. All education / qualification certificates
4. Evidence of employment for the last one to two years which include payslips and bank statements which reflect the salary credit
5. Evidence of suitable accommodation in the UK and where applicable the cost
6. Bank statements for the last 1 year to show that funds are available for the applicant to travel to UK
7. You are required to submit all those documents on which basis you have gained points under this scheme plus evidence of English ability (usually IELTS or a letter from their university stating their bachelor's degree was in English.)
8. Vaf 1 (non-settlement) form with a visa fee of Rs 17000 per head
9. Marriage Certificate and marriage photographs
10. Birth certificates of the children (if any and if the child is also applying)
We do not accept applications directly at our office. If you wish to lodge an application you may do so at our Outsourcing agency called the Visa Facilitation Service located in the region where you normally reside. They have centres at Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore and Hyderabad. You must include full supporting documents with your visa application. We do not interview everyone who applies for a visa. In many cases, the Visa Officer will arrive at a decision based solely on your application form and the other documents you send in. This means that if you do not send us any supporting evidence, or if the papers you send are not comprehensive, it is likely to affect the outcome of your application. Please make sure that you include all supporting papers with your application and do not send or fax us any papers separately.

Dear Sir

Thank you for your e-mail. If you wish to lodge a HSMP application, you may do so at our Outsourcing agency called the Visa Facilitation Service located in the region where you normally reside. They have centres at Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore and Hyderabad. You must include full supporting documents with your visa application. We do not interview everyone who applies for a visa. Because of the introduction of our Integra pilot programme, there has been a change in our standard processing times for applications made in the Work Permit and HSMP categories. Such applications will need to be made at least 3 weeks (15 working days) in advance of the intended date of travel to allow for thorough verification checks. Because such checks affect the integrity of the border control, we cannot waive them.Applicants intending to travel to the United Kingdom for the purpose of employment in the Food and Beverage and Health departments will be required to undergo a medical examination prior to their travel. A decision on the application will be made subject to the outcome of the medical examination.

Please find below the documents required for a HSMP visa:

3. All education qualifications / certificates

5. If you already have a job offer then you may submit the same

6. Marriage certificate and birth certificate

7. The HSMP pro forma that needs to be filled in at VFS states clearly that all those documents on which basis the points were gained under this scheme plus evidence of English ability (usually IELTS or a letter from their university stating their bachelor's degree was in English) must be submitted. It is advisable to submit all those documents that were submitted to Work permits UK to get the HSMP permit.

We cannot advise you on the amount of funds required. Normally the Visa Officer would like to see that you have sufficient funds available to meet all the expenses like accommodation and living expenses for the first few months.Visa Officers normally expect you to provide evidence to show the source of the money you are proposing to use. Any large money deposited will need to be backed up by full supporting evidence of its history in original format. The documents mentioned above are just a guidance to give you an idea. Please provide other documents which you feel would support your visa application. The visa fee is Rs17000. If sponsor is also funding you, you need to show evidence of his job, income (payslips ) and savings (bank statements).

Can I apply for dependants along with my application, but still say in the visa form that they will be travelling later, not on the same date as mine?

Hello

I had applied for a visitor visa on the Visa4UK portal and my reference no. is GWF034274880.

I had erroneously applied for a visa for 1 year instead of 6 months and submitted the application. I am unable to retract and make a change to my application.

I have not yet taken an appointment for the visa interview nor paid the fees.

I would like to change the visa from 1 year to a 6 month visa.

Please advise how I could go about it.
